Rutgers Summer Session Partners with College Board; Offers Graduate Credit, Professional Development Options to Advanced Placement Institute Participants

ATTENTION EDUCATION, ASSIGNMENT EDITORS

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. – High school teachers now can earn graduate credits or hours toward professional development by participating in the Summer Advanced Placement Institute offered by the Rutgers Summer Session in New Brunswick.

This program, offered through a partnership between Rutgers Summer Session and the College Board, will help prepare current or prospective teachers to satisfy the growing demand for Advanced Placement courses. “English Language and Literature,” “European History,” “French Language,” “Spanish Language,” “U.S. Government and Politics,” and “U.S. History” will be offered July 13 to 17. “Micro- and Macroeconomics,” “Environmental Science,” “Human Geography,” “Psychology” and “Studio Art” will be available July 27 to 31.

Participating high school teachers will have the option to earn either three graduate credits or 30 hours of professional development through the Rutgers Summer Session, upon completion of their chosen seminar.

Optional lodging at the University Inn and Conference Center, 178 Ryders Lane, New Brunswick, is available.
