This course introduces students to the study of health from the perspectives of sociology, health, medicine, and the humanities.
Instructor Dr. Johanna Shoen currently teaches and conducts research on the history of medicine. Her interests focus on medical ethics and end of life care, both of which will be covered in this course.
This course counts toward the Health, Culture, and Society minor in Sociology.
