Global Journalism in Bologna: Travel Writing
Get away this summer to the hotbed of cultural and political activity - Bologna, Italy! Students will spend two weeks (June 12 – 27, 2020) living and practicing journalism in Bologna! Students will attend classes to hone their writing, interview, and photography skills with the help from the University of Bologna students so that they can conduct journalistic interviews with Italian speakers the way professional journalists do.
Students will strengthen their skills, learn how to navigate a foreign city and currency, developing their independence and self-esteem, gain an understanding of cultural and political differences between Italy and the US, make friends with students from the University of Bologna, and learn some basic Italian along the way.
