This 3-credit, in-person, elective studies the many connections between all of the arts, music, and summer beach culture. Students will gain a fuller understanding of how summer beach culture music has contributed to popular music today including the understanding the humble beginnings of Bruce Springsteen.
The structure of this elective is unique in that it regularly meets on field trips. The course will meet at beaches, boardwalks, nature sites, and cultural venues. If weather is inclement, we will visit museums, galleries, and performances.
