This introduction to political theory explores the foundational theories of human behavior and political action from the ancient Greeks to the modern day. Students get their first exploration of natural law, the state of nature, the origins of the idea of freedom, and political sovereignty. The class is offered in a face-to-face setting and thus is especially relevant to high school students looking to start their political science training here at Rutgers.
