If you are an international student who would like to apply to take academic credit courses at Rutgers University this summer, the following eligibility requirements must be met.

  • You must be age 18 years or older, and a university student in good standing in your home country.
  • You must have proficiency in the English language. A TOEFL score of 79 is required for nonnative English speakers before your registration is confirmed.
  • To qualify for a Rutgers-sponsored F-1 student visa, you must register for enough credits for full-time study. Full-time study in our academic summer program is defined as one credit earned for each week of study - for example, generally 6 credits for undergraduate students and 4.5 credits for graduate students.
