Register for Courses

More than 15,000 students register for courses at Rutgers New Brunswick every summer. Registration begins Monday, February 17.  Check course dates carefully to avoid conflict. The WebReg system will not recognize summer scheduling conflicts.​

Current Rutgers Students

Current Rutgers Students may register using the Web Registration System.

Summer Start/First-Year Students

Graduating high school seniors have the opportunity to take courses the summer before starting college. Learn more about registering as a first-year student.

Transfer Students

Transfer students may register using the Web Registration System. Students who have enrolled at the School of Arts and Sciences must email the Transfer Advising Office to discuss their plans and to obtain approval before taking a summer course.

Visiting Students - The form will be available February 10

Visiting students may apply to take summer courses by filling out a Registration Inquiry Form. The form will be available February 10 until 4 pm on July 2. Please note, visiting students must complete the necessary prerequisite work and are responsible for determining that they have done so before registering for a Rutgers summer course. Visiting students should also seek written confirmation from their academic advisors/deans that the course(s) they complete at Rutgers will be accepted by their home institution.

High School Students

High school students may apply to take summer courses through our Summer Scholars Program. If you're a graduating senior, see information about our Summer Start program.

International Students

International students who meet eligibility requirements may apply to take courses in the summer.
