More than 16,000 students register for courses at Rutgers New Brunswick every summer. Registration begins Monday, February 17.  Check course dates carefully to avoid conflict. The WebReg system will not recognize summer scheduling conflicts.​

Transfer students may register using the Web Registration System. Students who have enrolled at the School of Arts and Sciences must email the Transfer Advising Office to discuss their plans and to obtain approval before taking a summer course.

Fill Out Registration Inquiry Form

Visiting students must fill out a Registration Inquiry Form. An RUID and Personal Access Code (PAC) will be emailed within 3 business days, which will allow you to register for classes via WebReg.

International students who meet eligibility requirements may apply to take courses in the summer.


Please note:

  • WebReg is available for registration from 6:30 am - 11:59 pm, Monday through Friday and 6:30 am - 6:30 pm, Saturday and Sunday.
  • Summer Session is not recommended for Rutgers first-year students or students with less than a 2.0 GPA. Such individuals must secure approval from their academic advisor or dean and present it in writing to the registrar.
  • Visiting students must complete the necessary prerequisites before registering. Written confirmation from your academic advisor/dean that the Rutgers course(s) will be accepted by your home institution is also recommended.
  • The Registration Inquiry Form will be available on February 10 until 4 pm on July 1.
